Where you cannot please everyone. Through the past several years of technological boom, the Internet, social media and more have paved the way to the current era of engagement. Customer engagement with businesses are expected and even required for some service companies and even those companies that provide a tangible product to an end user. Some companies provide a price-advantage and others provide a value-benefit through customer service, and others differentiate on other methods.

Wal-Mart for example has the best low prices, and no one can beat them because of their relationship with their suppliers and excellent supply chain; however if you ever attend the large super store, Wal-Mart, you will find 3 cashiers open and 50 customers lined up for miles in each. Then you will realize they don’t care to open another register, and that employee, shuffling dirt around, is not going to assist you with every need in finding products. Target on the other hand advertises to “Expect More Pay Less”, with the everyday collection, and they provide value to the customer. If you find yourself in Target you will notice that if the lines back up even a slight bit that they will immediately open another register and there is a manager on the floor who is willing to help you find and select the items you are looking for. Target has accepted that they will not beat everyday Wal-Mart low price, but they will provide you with excellent customer service.

See where I’m going with this?

All of the people highlighted have complained about our cancellation policy. The cancellation policy has been one of high issue over the years. A policy that has been implemented just like any other company in America today, no matter the location, size or type of business. A policy should be followed with no exceptions for anyone; if exceptions occur then that must be passed down to others who prove the same circumstances.

From the moment you sign up (click for pdf membership application) you are all aware of our cancellation policies. Then when you signup for a draft membership (click for ACH Card application) you fill out information concerning your banking draft, our cancellation policy is also noted on that form too. They are also up and available for everyone to find, and there is always the phone in which you can call to find out more. http://mybodygym.com/info/forms/cancel http://mybodygym.com/info/forms

This is a business like any other, and because we are located in Edna, Texas we are subject to scrutiny of others on our policies and procedures. Procedures that have been in place for years now and is subject to be the only pain in enjoying in our services provided. We have the policy in place for several reasons, and it is quite easy to understand and follow for a majority of our members. We are currently working to provide you more for your money, as the 24-7 access provides value in convenience. We have our procedures about canceling in order to provide you a piece of mind of never being locked into a long-term contract.

The Internet & a lesson for everyone:

You cannot and will not change what the market says about you or your business. You cannot control or mute what others say about you. You can only hope that you have friends to speak for you. Everyone has a bad customer experience somewhere at least once, and there is usually something behind the story. In certain cases it is in fact the business’ fault, and others, the customer’s fault. In this era of engagement, people sometimes look to peer reviews before they buy a product or try a restaurant, and sometimes people don’t care at all. Unfortunately some of this has produced entitlement but remember, sometimes, customers are wrong. Now days, customers are not always right, because they do not know the logistics and they are not always going to get what they want because it is not feasible.

When you accept that you cannot please everyone, it makes life much easier.

Have a great day everyone, and a big thank you to all our dedicated members who have been with us for years now without issues. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to comment below.

Remember this work out is designed to warm you up quickly and to cool you down equally; it also is a moderately hard workout that will get your heart rate accelerated. Working out your heart is an important part of cardio! Remember February is Heart Awareness month and you should visit your doctor to make sure that your workout routine is okay or recommended by your doctor.

Everyone works out different and what maybe good for one person is not always good for you. If you are looking to see a specific set of results you should consult with an expert on a routine that will help you achieve your goals.

Remember working out is not for just losing weight, it is also about feeling good & your body feels better when you have put it through few zestful routines!

What are some of your favorite workout routines? What’s your favorite workout plan? What about a favorite piece of equipment? Chime in below or to Facebook & post your favorite machine & or workout class!

From an article from Shape Magazine it talks about plating certain offerings, and debating others. With Superbowl around the corner everyone will be having parties and you know if you are trying to stay fit, that they will probably have nothing to offer you. If you are having your own Superbowl party you can find some amazing tips here for your food offerings that won’t leave your guests feeling guilty for making your party, their ‘cheat’ day.

Plate It

Shrimp Cocktail

10 Calories, 0g Fat

- Large or small these suckers can be a filling and healthy treat either by themselves or in a lovely salad. Offer a variety of options with just one bag of shrimp. Be sure to read your packaging, if you are buying pre-frozen, ready to go shrimp.

Chicken Skewer

60 Calories, 1g Fat

- Do not add fat onto chicken by frying or unwanted carbs by breading them. Bake or Grill your chicken to reduce the amount of fat intake, and remember to cook without oils if you want to pan seared look. Opt in for sweet & sour dipping sauce or raspberry vinaigrette. Remember the sauce is extra calories so be sure to read your packaging.

Swedish Meatball

30 Calories, 2g Fat

- Proteins have added benefits, you can find premade turkey meatballs in your meat section with low calorie intake, remember any added sauces are always extra so maybe consider a recipe with a low sodium soy sauce and other spices to offer some flavor to the meatballs without packing on extra calories.

Debate It

Potato Pancake

150 Calories, 8g Fat

- It’s fried, what else is there to say? Of course they are full of fat, and tons of calories. And YES! You want to indulge so badly but you can kiss everything else goodbye. Did you know that sometimes people limit meal size to 200 Calories, imagine that!

Mini Spinach Quiche

60 Calories, 4g Fat

- Awww but they are so cute. They have spinach in them…yeah, well, don’t let it fool you it won’t help you and with all the cheese and buttery crust it might has well had none. If you indulge make it only one, remember there are other things to gather at the party!

Pig-In-A-Blanket

100 Calories, 8g Fat

- A favorite of everyone & a master in quick eats. Each little piggy is saturated in fat, & tons of sodium and depending on their wraps, it’s defiantly carbs. You can modify this to be low-fat, low-sodium sausage; with a low fat, healthy choice biscuit wrap then you may have put a break in that fat/calories, remember look at your packaging!

ALTERNATIVES FROM OUR KITCHEN TO YOURS!

Remember most recipes that we have grown up with can be modified in some since to include low sodium, low fat or fat free, or low calorie choices. Other options for your Super bowl party may include some of the following:

Fresh Fruit Salad:

- Kiwi, Bananas, Pineapples, Strawberries, Cherries and Apples

- Cube up your fruit, and mix in a bowl, place in the freezer until time to serve.

Baked Hot Wings:

- Franks Red Hot Sauce x2

- Two packages of Wings

- Cover in Franks Red hot sauce, finely coated in a deep dish baking pan, cover tightly with aluminum foil.

- Place in oven for 1 hour on 375◦

- At the end of the hour, remove, and turn wings, re-coat with Franks Red Hot.

- Place back in oven for approximately 30 minutes – Uncovered

WEEKEND WORKOUTS

Some say they will work out on the weekends because during the week you are so busy with life. Well Life never changes and working out should be a part of life. The problem is the day we realize exercise is an important part of life is usually when we are lying on a doctors table getting a checkup. The doctor tells you that you’ll be just fine but you need to work out some to help blood pressure, diabetes, stress levels and so much more.

No one needs to tell you the “reports” or the “statistics” done over the benefits of exercises. You are all here for a reason, therefore somewhat know that you need regular exercise or physical workouts to stay fit in America…that in itself is a whole other blog post.

Try these tricks and tips to help stay faithful to working out – even on the weekends!

MAKE TIME! – Plan it out, put it in your schedule, and use your Google calendar, your day planner or whatever you use to make a point to physically schedule time to go to the gym or to workout in general. At minimum 1 hour daily of physical exercise is enough to rejuvenate your body and maybe push you to add more time to your workout block.

CREATE GOALS! – Remember short term and long term goals. Don’t expect to drop 30 lbs in 3 months without hard work. Creating goals that are short, quick and really a mix of difficulty will keep you feeling accomplished when you mark them off your list. Goals should be realistic, attainable and have deadlines. Begin with listing your main objective which could be the 30lbs by June, then Goal #1: MAKE TIME! – Then begin scheduling your time!

GATHER SUPPORT! – The biggest thing for people to admit is that they can’t do it alone. Everyone needs a support group for one thing or another, well even this deserves one too. It’s hard to stay faithful to your workout plan while your best friend or spouse wants to eat out every day or consistently cries and whines about your absences because you are at the gym or worse, the food changes. It’s very depressing and just rains on your parade, it discourages you. You should DEMAND support, this is your life and your body and it should be first!

HEALTHY CHOICES! – Healthy living means healthy choices, and everyone knows if you don’t eat right with your workouts the progression will run shorter than you would like. That alone can be another blog posts about healthy food choices, however short and simple, it does NOT mean to starve! It will take time to getting your stomach to not throw a fit over you eating PROPER portions, but once you do – you will not want to go back. Remember, In America the restaurant portions are huge, and not based on recommended size for individuals.

STAY TRUE! – Don’t cheat! There is no reason to lie to yourself, or to sabotage yourself by skipping a lunch so that you can eat “bad” later. A big misconception is that you can have your double meat with cheese at lunch because you are going to work out later…NO! This just hurts previous progress, and yes, you do have to work out harder to move forward. This process takes time, despite what you believe, you didn’t gain 30lbs overnight, so it will not go away over night.

Weekend workouts are always the hardest to keep to because typically during the weekend you have laundry to do, home projects or family time. Start by trying for just 1 day during the weekend then move to both. If you do a heavy load of working out during the week you might want to try yoga, or low impact type workouts – stuff that strengthens the core and abdominal muscles – during the weekend so that you can do them at home.
